While everybody around me discuss the Alaska-San Miguel game last night, all I really care about is that Portugal made it through group qualifying (Christiano Ronaldo's younger than I am, but I can overlook that fact). And that Japan and North Korea played their qualifier in an empty stadium. An empty arena.
Well, I also care if England make it through, because David Beckham's pretty.
Oh, and tennis' grass court season is about to start. I have since stopped caring about professional tennis, but I am always a fan during Grand Slams. For example, I know that the French Open has an unofficial belief system: the pre-tournament favorites always lose. The women's draw is practically a given, but the men's championship is usually won by a dark horse.
Ahh, but Wimbledon. The location of Meredith McGrath's short-lived claim to fame (Don't worry, if you don't know who she is, you're not the only one.). Where Steffi won 7 trophies. Where Martina Hingis fell apart. Where Steffi proved to Venus Williams you can be that strong and powerful, but finesse still counts for plenty.
Anyway.
Kyan and Thom in Manila. Love Thom, he's a genius, but Kyan's pretty. Hmmn...
What to do.

Oh, Goran. I miss you so.
