Missing

I miss Pow. And Angel. And Michelle.
Classmates, friends, countrymen.

Last weekend I was watching Arrested Development, which includes Will Arnett, Amy Poehler's husband. And when I tried waxing rhapsodic over the "fun" potential of those two as parents, the people I was talking to only looked at me, obviously wondering the same things: 1) What the hell is Arrested Development? 2) Who's Will Arnett? and 3) Who's Amy Poehler?
Pow would know.

sigh.

A week or so ago I was out with my friends from high school (yes, another set of friends from high school). I still think Boyfriend-ni-Custodio is too tiny (vertically), but fine. He's a good guy, I will live with it. Hannabal Lecter still speaks in negative decibels. Sister Tenyong has become a full-fledged anime freak. And I had no clue Leleng's child-to-be is a secret. You know, you're gonna start showing soon, and you got married at age 23, people can tell. We had a pretty fair set of teachers in high school, you know. Thank God your boyf--- er, husband's a decent guy.
Bakookie would've been good to have around that time.

okay.

And Michelle... I don't know when we stopped talking, but randomly bumping into each other at Makati should stop. We exchange cellphone numbers all the time, repeatedly being surprised that we actually have it, but we never exchange SMS, or calls. Or email. Not even stupid chain letter-type messages. Now that I've grown up a bit (not too much), I wish we still knew each other that well, so we can talk.
But we don't.

And Eddie, shit. I know that in this game it's against the rules to wish for the impossible, but maybe we can turn back time? Before Sunrise this scenario all we want, but even they ended up having one more go at it.

Spike : I thought she didn't have a soul.
Cordy: Well, I do.
Spike : Me too.
Cordy: Well, clearly mine's better.
(Angel, "You're Welcome")

I missed you, Oz. I wrote you so many letters. But I didn't have any place to send them. And I couldn't live like that.
