And it was.
You do not fuck around with Snake-Eyes.
SPOILERS!
1. Cobra Commander blows up Moscow. CC, you madman!
2. The story... it... makes... sense. Amazing. (Except for the part where Scarlett picks Duke over Snake-Eyes.)
3. Yes, if you want something destroyed, Gung-Ho, Roadblock, Stalker and Beachhead are your guys.
4. That's right, Cobra Commander, kill off whoever questions your logic. They're nameless extras for a reason.
5. Alright, "the seventh step to the sun" technique is so Five Point Palm Exploding Heart, but, you know... Snake-Eyes vs Storm Shadow.
6. Scarlett and Cover Girl in the same room. Therefore proving they are not the same person.
After the jump, Snake-Eyes and Storm Shadow fight to the death.
Before that, just to nitpick:
1. No way would Scarlett pick Duke over the bad-ass awesomeness of Snake-Eyes. It's just not done.
2. Do away with all those random Joe clerks: give those familiar characters something to do. For one: do away with Dial Tone and have Lady Jaye talk, for crying out loud. Besides, in the original toy line Dial Tone's male.
Now, we get to the badassery (yes, I know it's not really a word):
I LOVE YOU, SNAKE-EYES!!!
Did you see that? Dude blocked a sword with his palm! And broke it! This is why TVTropes describes him as the personification of the Crowning Moment of Awesome for GI Joe.
Crowning Moment Of Awesome (Snake-Eyes is one of these personified, including breaking into Destro's castle to save Scarlett and actually taking on Storm Shadow and his ninjas with little weapons, and this troper's all-time favorite: breaking free during a Cobra torture session, and going upstairs to rescue the people who were supposed to rescue him. You don't save Snake-Eyes, he saves you. Even if he's the prisoner.)
Yes, that's Snake-Eyes, alright.
Did I mention the part where he blocked a sword with his hand?!?
