you might want to reconsider that diploma

I'm sorry, Ateneo, but you allowed this idiot to graduate with honors:

Officemate: "J, ano ang 90s dress (What's a ni ne ties dress)?"
Me: "Say what?"
Officemate: "Ni ne ties dress."
Me: "What the hell--? You mean dress to the nines?"
Officemate: (checks her YM conversation.) "Ay. Hehe. Oo (Yes)." Pause. "Ano ibig sabihin nun (What does that mean)?"

After the jump, more hilarity.

#2:
Context: She was supposed to meet up with a guy the other week, but his plans got derailed but they were communicating by text one day last week to confirm if he would be in Manila this week. He was confirming on a Wednesday the details of his flight and hotel for this week. On Thursday, this exchange was had:

Officemate: I got a text from him this morning.
Me: (like I care) And?
Officemate: (reading text message) Sorry I was MIA (reads it as mia, like the name) last night. I ran out of batt.
Me: OK.
Officemate: Ano yung MIA (What's MIA)?
Me: (stares at her in disbelief)
Officemate: Hindi, seryoso. (No, seriously)
Me: Uh, Missing In Action?
Officemate: (Eureka!) Ahh. Oh.

#3:
Officemate: (full of wonder) "Bakit kaya nagwa-wild fire sa Australia (Why are there wild fires in Australia)?"

#4:
Officemate: (checking her time record) Anong oras ako pumasok yesterday (what time did i come to work yesterday)?
Me: Past eleven.
Officemate: So mga ten-thirty (Around ten-thirty)?

Hate to say it officemate, but to borrow from Jon Bon Jovi, you give Ateneo a bad name.

OMG, hahaha. Since Kris Aquino has one of 'em diplomas too...I'm not too surprised anymore when someone slips through the cracks.

here's another example :
Office mate : "I found the future father of my children!"
Me : "Really? Who?"
Office mate : " It's *bleep*
Me : (warn me once I start caring expression) " Oh, wow! He has great genes! You're kids will look great!
Office mate : "Genes? Like Levi's? Lee?"
