The Oath and Blood on the Scales were simply just too awesome to put into words. But it encapsulated everything i love about BSG, and once again, it serves as a reminder that TV can be spectacularly good and be properly deemed as an "event".
And, gods, Starbuck goes back to kicking ass. How can that be wrong? As Jevon Phillips in the LA Times pointed out, she has returned to doing some serious badassery:
And Starbuck. Oh Starbuck. She wasn't looking at colorful patterns or questioning who she was and why she was here. She was walking up behind guys at a urinal in space and smashing their heads up against the wall when they looked down to do their business.
So Anders got shot. At least we got to see Mark Sheppard return as Romo Lampkin.
Thus leading to tonight's episode, with the return of the fifth member of the Final Five. This ought to be wicked.
And with the return of The Sarah Connor Chronicles, as well as the debut of Dollhouse (early reviews are mixed, with some disappointed in The Purple One, but, frak, it's Joss, so I follow blindly, as I know the emotional investment will pay off), looks like torrent will continue to be my friend until the DVDs come along.
How wonderful would it be to be a geek in the US on Friday nights, with TSCC, Dollhouse and BSG in what is now popularly called the Sci-Fi block?
I smell awesome.
...now if only the ratings could prove it to the network execs.
