Sure, the ending of Dr. Horrible has been criticised as being so incredibly predictable of Joss, killing off (spoiler!) The Girl. This was a pattern I suspected, but never really took note of, until... Well, until I realized that with the deaths of (spoilers!) Tara, Anya, Cordy, Fred and Wash (one of these things is not like the other...), I was just so happy to realize that if Joss wanted to kill off his sweet (although, Anya and Cordy may not fall under this category) and adorable characters, at least he didn't kill off Kaylee.
And yet for some reason Dawn continued living.
Remember The Gift? When Dream Buffy told Willow that there was a point that she decided she could let Dawn die, and that she'll mourn, but she'll move on, as she always does. I think I'm not the only one bemoaning that why oh why didn't she? Is Trachenberg talented? Sure. But she grates the nerves just so.
Yes: finally, a Whedon alumni I could care less about. Not even her stint on Gossip Girl can make me like her.
Well. The Dollhouse panel on Comic Con was nice ("does Eliza's spine glow?" is an awesome BSG reference), but with the exception of Kevin Smith (sigh. I loved your movies before, but you promised to leave Jay and Silent Bob alone after Strike Back! wtf was Clerks 2 about?!?!?), nothing rocked harder than the BSG panel. Just wish Grace Park was there to help Sackhoff give Tahmoh grief.
Man I envy all those at the comic con.
So, anyway, yeah: I just want to be thankful that at the end of Serenity, Kaylee didn't die. And, Joss, (on the offchance a sequel gets greenlit) please don't let Kaylee die. River may not approve.
