maybe it's my fault. as a friend just told me this past weekend, i have such high expectations of my friends. and while that's not necessarily a bad thing, when they fall short my disappointment is such that i kind of give them demerits for not being up to par.
like when slut-o-(d)rama sends a text message saying she's pregnant, it's just so... typical that as much as it could be bait for me, i can't put it past her.
or when they're (her and other people) part of that bernard palanca 5-car accident, you think to yourself, "well, i wonder why..." and, the glaringly obvious: which i can't write here because it's still pending insurance investigation and who knows what can be traced with net technology.
i want them to be happy. i do. but sometimes they just get on (to?) my nerves.
shit. now my grammar's shot, too.
Iza was my friend in grade school. She's a regular commenter on Bonnie's LJ. It's surreal for me.
Anyway I read Iza's LJ to see how she writes (how she writes. did I just say that? damn. I sound like ms. guevarra) and I was horrified: "John Stewart"? That's how shallow I can be. Over a thousand words on the page and I focus on that.
When Goodyear talks during movies, and "forgets" to put her mobile on silent, I'm annoyed to the point that I don't talk to her for the rest of the film viewing. If you've seen a movie with me, you'd know that I like to make the occasional side commentary. So my silence can be very obvious.
Maybe it's Goodyear's tendency to talk too much. That no matter the topic, it eventually becomes tedious.
When current coworkers, who are smarter than my last batch of coworkers, don't know what SNL, Arrested Development or The Daily Show are, or who Christiane Amanpour is...
Or when they don't get the "new pope" reference.
Anyway.
I wonder if there's ITME this weekend.
I heart Vic right now for that Stephen Colbert clip she sent me.
Goblet of Fire starts its US run on Nov. 18.
Corpse Bride starts showing... um... next week? Or week after? Screw it, basta soon.
It's easier when you don't know who you are. There are no expectations to live up to.
- Jim Carrey
current music:
- PJ Harvey & Radiohead's Thom Yorke - The Mess We're In (delightful song, I never imagined Thom Yorke's vocals could do for a love song... Well, as much a love song as Thom Yorke can pull off)
- Catatonia - Road Rage (the lyric "you could take a piece of mine" hit me the other day, and it refuses to leave my head. sigh)

haha your expectations make me nervous. can we just get it clear from the very beginning that you're a lot smarter than me so we can get that out of the way na? :Pbonnie
Haven't we discussed that Bernard Palanca is an actor and not a street. Or was I actually right and it is a street? I'm confused.Pregnant news.....again. This is getting to be like the girl who cried baby (not the kinky way either although she probably does that too. eeeeeeew!)--Speedbump
