Okay, granted, compared to victims of natural disasters, my company outing wasn't so bad. Actually the trip itself wasn't so bad. It was the organized fun that made it so worthless.
We went to Nasugbu, which mercifully isn't very "beach paradise" in terms of its beach-iness (i love playing with words). So the "no swimming at the beach" part didn't matter so much. But, you know, it still kinda sucks when you know Punta Fuego's like, 2 towns away. Grr.
Public shame and humiliation, check.
Did I mention how hard it was raining on Thursday night?
By unanimous verdict, it would have been an even better trip if Kulot #1 and Kulot #2 were absent for the trip. Such wet blankets. And good God I hope I'm never as hated as those two are.
No pictures. Let my shame have no visual evidence.
Went home early, though. I would like to thank my Team Leader for needing to get home early and using me as her partner in crime in doing so. My shame festival was cut short.
Shorties:
1) Saw Chrys and Ami last Saturday for the Philippine Book Fair. Ahh, book fair. I love you, book fair. You are the annual source of torment and pleasure... it's like intellectual S&M, going to the frikking book fair.
2) Chrys has issues of the heart. Aww. Now if only I can say the same for myself, therefore proving I have one...
3) Looks like Kelly's reuniting with the jackass. Darling, he f*cked up your car and doesn't even have the balls to own up to it. I don't know what that means in your little world, but where I come from, that deserves a dumping to the high heavens.
4) To further torment myself regarding literature: took a detour and went to National Book Store in Cubao, where there are old, phased-out books sitting in the fourth floor. It's not organized in any way, so patience is a must. But the things you find...
5) 3 Musketeers and Milky Way are back in the market. I've missed them darn chocolates. Yes, Erika, I love the free Hershey products you provide, but it ain't 3 Musketeers and Milky Way.
Darn it, no Inside the Middle East this weekend. But I saw Andy Cooper.
Oh, 6) Tommy Haas is no longer a teenager. He's bulked up, and he's crush-worthy. The men's tennis tour looks viewable again.
Jane: There were singing and roasting, and I mean the marshmallow kind.
Daria: You seem to know a lot about camping.
Jane: Back when I was a girl scout.
Daria: You were a girl scout?
Jane: That was before the de-programming.
(Daria)
