because it's two days before the pagan holiday of choice

Speedbump and I were IM'ing earlier, and this was made abundantly clear: there aren't enough celebrities worth crushing over. Well, nobody new. Jensen Ackles, while adorable as Dean on Supernatural, was first fawned over from his days on Dark Angel. Robert Downey Jr., from the adolescent crushing from Only You. She mourns the lack of exposure for Brian Kinney Gale Harold, and it's hard to properly crush over Captain Tightpants, because we still think of him as Johnny (that these latter two showed up on Desperate Housewives isn't helping). And unfortunately, no amount of fangirling will be enough to get NPH.

James Marsters' recent appearance on Lie To Me makes his age abundantly clear (Spike can't be 47!). And Alexis Denisof can only be Wesley-circa-Angel-Season-4 to me (yes, the disgruntled, unshaven, and tortured version).

I once loved Jared Leto, but after that torturous look, and his insistence on trying to uglify himself, I prefer to just think of him as Jordan Catalano. Jason Dohring has disappeared from the face of the planet, although I really actually just love Logan Echolls.

And to think I'm not above watching a movie or TV show just because there are cute guys on it: I love Ed Westwick as Chuck Bass, but so far the character's much better than the actor (though Mr. Westwick has an English accent, so it's a wash). Taylor Kitsch is on Friday Night Lights, but I'm worried that he might not be as crush-worthy if he cleaned up.

I mean, I watched Jack & Jill and Wasteland (Coffeeboy!!!), for crying out loud. That's just different levels of why(?!?!?!). (Answer: Ivan Sergei, Justin Kirk, and Adam Scott.)

Sure, there's James Franco:
And oh, all right: I heart the angel Castiel (from Supernatural). He showed up before this whole angel craze, and he's everything "fallen angel" that I wanted from City Of Angels (Misha Collins' Castiel is so 'Wings of Desire' it's awesome)
See? I can make with the Christmas season. I ended on the note of a frakking angel.
