sports for the (collegiate) masses

I think I've made it pretty clear that outside of Formula One and ice hockey, I care more about the prettiness of athletes than I do about the sport itself (see: my continued love for Goran Ivanisevic, Marat Safin).

Never been one to care about the U.A.A.P. (other than the basic "fact" that the rowers and the volleyball teams were good-looking during my time), but a friend of mine encapsulated the ADMU-DLSU rivalry athletes (basketball players, particularly) succinctly:

"The Ateneans look like they've always studied in Ateneo. The La Sallians look like they were picked up from a Palarong Pambansa."

Watched a few seconds/minutes so far this season, and yes. It's still (generally) true.

Of course, there's also the matter of their academic records, which I think Vic's already covered in one sentence:
