I can see Russia from my house!

Because I heart Tina Fey, and absolutely adore Tina Fey with Amy Poehler, I continue to revel in the delightful genius that is the Tina Fey-as-Sarah Palin and Amy Poehler-as-Hillary Clinton non-partisan opening skit for last weekend's SNL. Its genius, as can be read here, illustrates everything I love about these two.

So today, being the loser that I am, as I was browsing The Huffington Post over lunch (yes, yes. It's so NOT How To Win Friends and Influence People. In my defense, I was going between HuffPo and NBC's SNL videos, which really isn't much of a defense against my snobbery), I came across this news item and found it so... well, it just so rang true for the opening lines of the skit:

FEY AS PALIN: "Good evening, my fellow Americans. I was so excited when I was told Senator Clinton and I would be addressing you tonight."

POEHLER AS CLINTON: "And I was told I would be addressing you alone."

Hee.
