Taking a cue from Lauless' blog entry, I have decided, for my birthday ex post facto, I shall list down things I am thankful for. Just so that I won't be so whiny.
1. My job. As much as I have to encounter annoying nurses who push my patience, there are the few who make it worthwhile and even enjoyable. And the monthly salary is nice.
2. My cousin's DSL connection. Because without it, how else would I get digital copies of certain albums that are no longer available from defunct bands that I discovered after they broke up? Music from my teenage years. And shameless pop music that I love for some demented reason.
3. CNN. Because before I thought I needed it, now I can't live without it.
4. Piracy. Not to advocate it, or anything, but how else would I find season DVDs of certain TV shows?
5. My mother. Who cooks my meals and cleans my clothes and does everything a maid should do but does it simply because she loves me.
6. The return of Paige 23. After their extended hiatus, they're finally back doing shows and coming up with a few new songs.
7. Blogger. For giving me a medium by which I can whine in public.
8. My friends. Sometimes they annoy me, sometimes I love them to pieces. But they can stand me, so who am I to complain?
9. My friends' blogs. So that I won't have to endure their whining in person.
10. My spiritual boyfriend(s). From Becks to Andy to all the others. The real one (he just doesn't know it yet) means nothing.
