of sorts. actually we've just recently met, but what the hey.
hung out with some friends from high school this past saturday. not my "real" high school gang, but sort of. anyway, one of us made a comment that whenever we're all together, she always reverts to thinking that she's still in high school. personally, all i care about is that none of us is that eager to grow up (old).
well, except for one, who has sort of been pushed into premature maturity and responsibility, and seems to be suffering because of that. but she has learned to lighten up.
sort of.
we of the non-existent love lives. crushes, yes, but actual relationships? um, no. well, some have forayed into that world, and are now questioning why they bothered. we who do not intend to watch Kingdom of Heaven because of orlando bloom (aggh, proof of my CNN fanaticism: i had no intention to watch Kingdom of Heaven, until I saw the feature on Insight. good god that cable channel has warped my fragile little mind). we who actually discussed matters like the diminishing size of the Big Mac and Champ burgers.
sometimes you just need this dose of... whatever the hell it is they bring to remind you that not everything has to be complicated. that not everything has to be analyzed to death.
sometimes it's just nice to complain about random things among people who want to complain with you.
and still agree on who the "annoying" people in high school were, knowing "age" and "maturity" hasn't warped their perspective. (yes, cel, i'm talking about you.)
we're meeting again on saturday, simply because we know if we meet again soon after that we'll be sick and tired of each other.
