i was looking at the title, and thought, "in spite of what?"
then i realized, oh. that's exactly my point. or, that was my point. that no matter what happened in this life that just happens to be mine, i'm fine. i always manage to get out in one piece.
it really helps that i hardly ever put myself out into the world. i don't run the risk of setting myself up for anything.
am i being too cautious? yes. is it necessary for me to be cautious? i like to think so.
my life is a series of events don't make sense. - jordan catalano, "my so-called life"
i never thought that i was being too cautious, except recently i started thinking, hey. you're two years shy of being twenty-five. at that age i'm supposed to be thinking about my future, about the things i've done with my life and what i'd want to do about it.
...soon i'll be 25. that's like, mid-twenties. - jessica simpson
so what does this mean for me? what will i be doing? more importantly, what have i been doing? i always say that i live vicariously through my friends. and i'm a writer, so i also live vicariously through my characters.
but my friends have been getting lives i don't really think i'd like to live vicariously through, and without new experiences, who are my characters going to be?
no, i don't think i'll be making drastic changes in my life. but maybe i'll start living a little bit more.
whoa. did i just make "bravest decision of my life"? or was my day so bad that i had bad judgment? - jake "shoot me!"
