I give up. I've decided I'll say screw it to my family's health problems and slowly kill myself with processed food.
Yellowcab, I heart thee.
I mean, why else would I want Nigella to adopt me? All that gastronomic yumminess is enough to make my mouth water at the idea of deep-fried chocolate bars, which is... You know the drill. She tells you what she's going to prepare, you think "um, no" but the minute she actually starts the food prep, then down to the cooking... before you know it you're salivating. Even when she tells you how absolutely sinful and wrong it is to actually consume it, you still want it.
And how can anyone deny a woman who has a cabinet full of chocolates?
Thanks to Richard Quest, I was introduced to the horror that is Gordon Ramsay barking orders. Which is infinitely amusing as long as you're not the one on the receiving end. Because watching Hell's Kitchen, you wonder, why in God's name would anyone sign up for that kind of torture. Sign up for his culinary course, for crying out loud. The same experience with a lot less media coverage. But why does his food look so damn good?
I'm hungry, okay? I have dined on grilled cheese sandwiches for the past two meals, and right now it's lunch and I'm trying to decide on what/where to eat.
God. I want a Sausage McMuffin.
I want to go to Amici. And polish off a whole pizza, just to satisfy the hunger.
Damn. Now I just want a pizza.
You know how I keep bitching about Inntimate Escapes and Passport to Europe? Like it's not enough that they get to travel as a profession, but they also get to eat really tempting treats. Bitches. At least them Globe Trekkers dine with a budget.
Speaking of Globe Trekkers, Megan McCormick blogs on Deep End Dining.
But for real fun with food, read how Anthony Bourdain bitches about the Food Channel. Hee. I especially love his Iron Chef America match-ups.

I had a quarterpounder with tons of ketchup. I wonder, will the abundance of lycopene cancel the cholesterol?
Hey, that Tony Bourdain post was a great find. I feel assured that it's a universal truth that Giada de Laurentiis has a big head.
You must've found some great sadistic pleasure in writing about food. Now I'm hungry. Thanks a lot.
