but not today. MARAT SAFIN WON THE 2005 AUSTRALIAN OPEN!!! yay! which means he is no longer a one-shot wonder of the US Open a few years back. He's actually won a second grand slam title.
No need for Safin to apologize to his supporters this time. Beating Lleyton Hewitt in four sets in Australia must be heartbreaking for the Australians, but, come on! Safin had to beat Roger Federer to get to the final. giving him the title is the least you could do.
There is a God somewhere. and he's giving hope to those of us who feel like there isn't enough.
