please please please show it in local theaters

Okay, I'm torn. I love Tina Fey and I adore Amy Poehler, but doesn't Baby Mama just sound... well, it just doesn't sound so appealing. Which is probably just me, but it kind of sounds like a local movie. You know, it probably was. Like, in the 80s, maybe. Starring some forgotten That's Entertainment (or Regal Baby) girl in a role of... well, an underage pregnant girl.

Damn. That sounds like an actual possibility of a local movie, doesn't it? Like, the father of the child is totally not right for her, and she meets this better guy, but she won't entertain the thought, because, hi, she's pregnant, and entertaining a good man while pregnant with another man's baby is just wrong and immoral, and the Catholic Church can choke on its self-righteousness....

But I digress.

Anyway. This blogger doth protest too much, because, really. It's Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. I bought the DVD of Blades of Glory for the Amy Poehler/Will Arnett extra. I bought the Mean Girls DVD because... well, because it's a wicked movie. And because of Tina Fey. Sure, I'll probably watch it and think of the many ways it could've been better had Tina been the one to write the movie, but if she agreed to do the movie, it must have its potential. And who can argue against a movie with these two? (Now, if only we can get Ana Gasteyer out of SNL retirement and Rachel Dratch in on the action, and then we'll be golden...)

Read the Tina Fey/Amy Poehler interview with the LA Times here.

Poehler: Weirdly, I'm gonna get a "head of the studio" credit. I forgot to tell you.
Fey: I got "craft services removal"? Is that because I ate a lot?
