I don't really have an idea on what to write, but because I promised people I'd update, I'll give a lame update just to get them off my back.

Belated Happy Birthday, Goran Ivanisevic.

Been working for about a month now, and I must say, so far it's not as much hell as I'd anticipated it to be. Of course, the hiring managers I report to don't know my local number yet, so I guess that could be a factor.
But, honestly. It's not what I want to be doing. It's okay, as I've mentioned previously it's something I can do while doped up on meds, but it's really not something I want to keep doing.
Heavens. Will I always be whining about what I'm doing?
But, got to say, though: the amount in the bank account almost makes it worth it.

Oh, gripe:
After years (2.5) of doing bank transactions with HSBC for payday, and only having HSBC employees as rivals for the ATM, suddenly relying on Metrobank is such a bitch.
Thanks, Goldie, you're a lifesaver.
I can't work with this, people.

But we move on to less-serious stuff.
We will move on to Will Ferrell.
I am yet to see Superstar or A Night at the Roxbury, but so far it seems that Will Ferrell can make any movie of his well worth watching. Unlike most other SNL alumni, you actually don't mind paying money to see Will because you know you're going to have a good time.
And even when he's doing movies like Stranger Than Fiction, which is a cut between comedy and drama, he's still really good.
Yes, he did Bewitched, but you don't mind having paid money to see Academy Award winner Nicole Kidman at her attempt at a comedy, or that you paid money to see Stephen Colbert and Jason Schwartzman's talents be completely wasted on film. Because Will is funny.
Yes, I hope that Will Ferrell will become the greatest SNL alum ever. Alongside Tina Fey, because Tina made smart girls cool again, after than Janeane Garofalo debacle.

I missed the Switchfoot concert, which sucks. Especially when I found out that my cousin was going. And went alone, after failing to find anyone who wanted to go to the concert with him.
Grrr. Maybe I shouldn't have told him I was going to use his new licensed-doctor status for medical certificates.
Sigh. Hindsight.
Speaking of cousins, his brother and my more endeared cousin is in Rome for work. He watched the Italian Grand Prix from a Ferrari shop, and I made him promise to get me something from that shop.
Say.
This whole F1 fiasco. When the story broke out, didn't you think to yourself, "I knew there was no way McLaren could've been beating Ferrari so steadily overnight."
Being a former McLaren fan (Mika Hakkinen era), it hurt me to admit that Ferrari is clearly a superior machine. But the facts speak for themselves, and it pains me to know that even if McLaren didn't technically use the information at hand, the fact that they got the documents, that it was there, is just sad.
Sigh.

Okay. Next time I come across an inspired idea for a blog entry, I will write it down. Just so you won't have to read drivel like this as often as I've been making you.
"We are having fine weather today."
- Margaret Dashwood (Sense and Sensibility)
I just remembered that line, after Margaret was advised by her sisters to limit conversations to the weather when she has nothing substantial to say. I think it fits. Don't you?

I saw A Night at the Roxbury on Cinemax way way back. Wasn't that crazy about it. Rented Superstar. Slightly better. Have yet to see STF, but heard universal praise from my friends.
I have to admit I felt like a kid on Christmas Day when McLaren were fined.
Because Ferrari rules.
