music and so much more

You know what I miss? MTV shows. Old school MTV shows. Daria, Spy Groove, Beavis and Butthead, Alternative Nation, The Jenny McCarthy Show. Migraine Boy and Celebrity Death Match (from the days when it was still funny and clever).

Heh. Spy Groove.

Because MTV and Channel V's programming? Suck.

Lately the best thing that I can say for Channel V is that with the Manics' "Your Love Alone Is Not Enough", they've started digging up old videos to show for Double Shot. And someone in the darker corners of Channel V is digging up old videos of forgotten acts and slipping them into the programming. Just to remind us that Justin Timberlake is not all we have.

And MTV Philippines has never quite impressed me, so its current state of affairs come as no surprise.

Or maybe, just maybe, new artists just bore me senseless. Seriously.

But enough about all that. Let's focus on bigger things.

Like the fact that The CW has canceled Veronica Mars. Boo. Dammit, why?

And hopefully Sean/Agent Weiss/Matt Parkman won't survive to see Season 2 of Heroes. Here's hoping.
By the way those novels? Oh-so-lovely.

At least 7th Heaven is finally, FINALLY over.

They canceled Veronica Mars. Those bastards!

Kimi, you royally suck. Fix your car, practice your driving, and win a frakking race, for the love of God.

As my last major purchase before going broke and officially needing to find new employment, I bought Shel Silverstein's The Missing Piece. Because I am a sentimentalist under this silly exterior, I want to believe that you don't need someone else to feel whole, and because the books are ridiculously poignant in its humor.

Also because Nick Bantock books are expensive.

And because if Vic likes them, it's got to be deliciously clever.

For the last time, his name is not Jack! He is The Narrator, because Fight Club is all about being a nameless, faceless being in the current world. He is not Joe, he is not anything. Ugh.

----

Cel (now that she's gone monogamous, it's not as funny to call her Slut-o-(d)rama anymore) sent me a text message late Saturday night to ask if I wanted to meet up with her and D in Makati.

Yes. Sure. I will travel that whole distance at that late hour to spend time with you two, and completely forget that you two have a penchant for running into trouble (or at least ridiculous situations) when you two are out late on a Saturday night in Makati (yes, I know, that was so two years ago, but you know it's true).

That was one too many use of "you two".

Maybe next time. Like when it's a decent hour and I want to waste my time having a social life. And at an hour I know won't risk running into Bebop and Rocksteady (yeah, yeah, I know).

So. Harry Potter mania coming soon. This ought to be fun.

OMG! Spy Groove! I'd *completely* forgotten about it, and then it's starting to come back to me.... Now I knew there had to be a reason why I put up with Totally Spies.

Pray tell, what old Manics videos have Channel V come up with? I lost patience with waiting for them on Double Shot two weeks ago. It's always some reality show every time I switch.

Ah, The Missing Piece. You better like it 'cause I declared the last person who said she didn't like it dead to me. ;)

Harry Potter Mania. I am saddened to say that I may not be here for that. I've just recently found out that I may be crossing the Pacific while other Harry Potter perverts este fans are snapping up the books from the shelves. *Sigh* This blows.
