passive consumers with patrolled desires

My CLIÉ died. Like, died died. It refuses to even turn on anymore. I sat through the early morning just looking at it, wondering where I had gone wrong. Perhaps I took it for granted. Perhaps it felt intense jealousy for the other gadgetry that warranted my attention more than it did. Perhaps its easy, low-maintenance behavior made me ignore our relationship upon the arrival of the shiny iBook. Perhaps because it was not given a proper name, like Vlad or Goran.

Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps.

So what now? To have it jumpstarted and returned to normal functioning behavior will cost me a pretty amount of penny(ies), money I am loathe to part with just yet. The fact that even if it can be brought back to life means little, since all the facts and knowledge, the secrets we have shared, will be lost.

And, right on time before the warranty is up, the 2006 stereo (aka Sven) has begun to act up. What the hell?

I blame my chakra. Or something. My psi energies have gone all wacky and now my things are facing the consequences. Yes, I'm just going psycho now.

Gah. Christmas.

At least there's the 13th month pay to look forward to. Worst case scenario, Sven will be replaced with Sven II, and CLIÉ might be replaced with a PDA that will be named and more respected.

A Whedon creation has the fitting statement for this breakdown:

"It's not in the spirit of the holiday."
